Description

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision required for Building 63 Exterior Wall Restoration at U.S. Coast Guard Support Center Elizabeth City, NC. Work includes but is not limited to: (1) Basic Work High pressure water only wash of the entire area of pre-cast concrete panels. Remove exterior lighting and cap as specifically identified. Cut out existing panel vertical joint sealant materials. Demolish existing mosaic tiles and setting materials. A Unit Work Item is scheduled for additional cost to handle and dispose of each of these materials as Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) should testing being performed under a separate contract identify these as ACMs. Prepare areas of damaged concrete for application of repair materials by chipping and grinding. Remove rust from exposed portions of wire mesh reinforcing. Remove damaged concrete to sound material and install patching materials. Install cement based, polymer modified, waterproof textured coating system at locations of existing mosaic tiles. Install backer rod and polyurethane sealant at all joint locations. Seal all existing and restored concrete with a water repellent coating. Prepare and paint existing metal and concrete block surfaces as indicated, including doors, frames and louvers. Perform minor concrete repairs at existing pre-cast entry canopy. (2) Unit Work Items: Perform concrete panel face repair. Unit price shall be per square inch of repaired surface area. Estimated quantity is 500 sq. in. Perform concrete panel edge/corner repair. Unit price shall be per lineal foot of repaired panel edge/corner. Estimated quantity of 20 lin. Ft. The NAICS is 235410 (SIC Code 1741) size standard $11.5M. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Act. However, FAR Clause 52.219-23 Notice of Price Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns and 52.219-4 Notice of Price Evaluation for HUBZone Small Business Concerns may be applicable (This clause allows a price adjustment factor for small disadvantaged business concerns.
