Description

Furnish all material, labor, equipment, tools, and supervision as required to correct various fire safety deficiencies at this VA medical facility. Work includes but not limited to, general construction, HVAC and electrical. This includes demolition & repair of existing wall & ceiling, finishes, replacement of existing doors & frames, patching & painting, minor revisions to extising sprinkler & fire alarm systems, and service & testing of all existing fire dampers. All work shall be performed pursuant to all local, state, and federal regulations, as per contract drawings and specs stipulated in the SOL and shall be completed within 210 days of NTP. A charge of $100.00 is required for each bid package requested. SOL will be mailed to the first 15 bidders who responds with a bid deposit. Bid Deposit must be in the form of a company or cashier's check, or money order made payable to: "VA Medical Center/508." No personal checks will be accepted. Deposits are refundable upon returning ALL bid documents within 20 days of BOD. ALL REQUESTS FOR BID PACKAGES MUST BE IN WRITING ACCOMPANY BY DEPOSIT. NO FAX OR TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Est. cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Est. issue dtd o/a 7-16-01. BOD: 8-16-01. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. Pursuant to FAR 19.1007(b), this is an unrestricted procurement.
