Description

The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) intends to procure Linear Hydraulic Servo Actuators in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6 for Commercial Items and 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award resulting from this solicitation shall be based on a Best Value Basis (12.602, the offer that is most advantageous to the Government-not necessarily lowest price). A written solicitation will be posted approximately 10 Jul 01 with a closing date of approximately 08 Aug 01. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the following web-site for the Request for Quotation, Performance Statement of Work and additional information pertaining to this buy: http://www.contracting.tacom.army.mil/opportunity.htm. Everything regarding this procurement will be posted to the aforementioned web-site. Please do not call the buyer with questions. Answers to these questions will also be posted at the previous web-site given for this solicitation. The Request for Quotation number for this procurement is DAAE07-01-T-0014. The servo actuators shall be capable of achieving the response necessary to test lighter vehicles such as the HMMWV and COMBATT vehicles. The actuator system shall have a 0 to 2500 pound cyclic radial load capacity at the rod end when fully extended at least 12 inches. Also it shall have a 2500 ft-lb. (5,000 lbs. at 6 inch) overturning torque capacity when the rod is extended 12 inches and the force is applied vertically off center. These actuators will include actuator systems complete with servo valves, accumulators, manifolds, base plates and swivels. These actuators will be for TACOM's Physical Simulation Laboratory (PSL), building 215.
