Description

The purpose of this notice is to inform prospective offerors that solicitation R-PHI-00851 for Closing Agent Services within the State of Maryland, issued on 6/11/01, will be amended in the near future. The amendment will be issued no later than Friday, 7/13/01, and the date set for the receipt of proposals will be extended until Friday, 8/3/01. The purpose of this Amendment is to make several changes to the solicitation: (1) a new geographic area will be added under Section B for the District of Columbia; (2) the set-aside is being changed from 100% small business to a cascading preference (first, Section 8(a); second, small business, then large business); (3) changes will be made to the evaluation factors reflected in Section L-5(c) of the solicitation; and (4) the requirement for a small business subcontracting plan will be added. The amendment will be available for downloading from HUD's Contracting Opportunities web site (http://www.hud.gov/cts/ctsoprty.html) on the day it is issued.
