Description

The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, has identified a requirement to develop an existing 134,000 word manuscript into a research-based publication about the history of Golden Gate National Recreation Area by means of a purchase order with a Scholarly Press involving peer review, editing, composition, proofing, printing, marketing, distribution, and sales. The manuscript is entitled, "The Park That Makes Its Own Weather: An Administrative History of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, " was written for the NPS by Dr. Hal K. Rothman, and is a study of the larger issues affecting the National Park Service in the 21st century illustrated by the issues faced by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in its twenty-eight year history. The resulting publication will be consistent with generally accepted standards and practices for publication of scholarly works. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED.
