Description

The Library of Congress intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Symark Software, Westlake Village, CA for Site License for 25 nodes (IP addresses and extended software support,which is a proprietary software. This synopsis for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. RFQ01C-23 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis documentation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library believes that Symark Software is the only vendor that can provide the technical service that will satisfy the agency requirements. All interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirements by providing supporting evidence that they can finish the required specific services without any interruption to the existing service. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposal. Response to this synopsis must be made in writing and received within 15 days of this notice. RFQ shall be submitted on company letterhead or faxed to (202) 707-8611 No LATER THAN July 20, 2001.
