Description

The proposed work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary to provide refuse collection and disposal services for government installations (offices, schools, and housing areas) under BIA-Navajo Regional Office in the States of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. This requirement has a Base Year with Second Year and Third Year Options. The option years are subject to contractor's first year performance and availability of appropriated funding for option years. Invitation for Bid Number N00-01-14, Bid Opening Date: August 16, 2001 at 2:00 P.M./Local Time at Place of Bid Opening. This project is Set-Aside for 51% Indian-owned and Controlled Concerns and is a Labor Surplus Area-Set Aside. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Section 7(B) of PL 93-638 (U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 require that preference opportunities in employment and training to be given to Indian/Alaska Native Individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native Economic Enterprises. Failure by the Contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award for termination of the contract for default.
