- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. This acquisition is unrestricted. CLIN 1: Communication suites 0003 EA. Each communication suite shall have the following minimum requirements: a base station with a minimum of 6 portable radios; a multi-user system capable of operating either independently or as subnets when collocated; capable of accommodating future expansion (i.e. 4 or more suites operating together); capable of full duplex transmissions between all radios within the suite simultaneously and without crossover from other suites operating within transmission range; each transmitter is required to have a Push-To-Talk mode and a microphone disable switch; operation spread spectrum in the 2.4 GHz range; portable radios, microphones, and speakers are to be fully compatible with respirators and masks, protective clothing, and SCBA equipment associated with the personnel protection levels A, B, and C (levels of protection refer to standard found in OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.120). Each communications suite shall include link to outside communication networks (phone and VHF/UHF patches; custom shipping containers to transport equipment; onsite operation level training within 60 days of receipt at delivery destination in Fort Dix, NJ 08640 and consent to video recording of training for in-house use. Quotes shall include shipping. Delivery will be required no later than 08/30/01. Final acceptance will be at destination. FAR provision 52.212-2, does apply and award will be made based on price and equipment capabilities. Offerors are instructed to include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations, and Certifications Commercial Items (Apr 2001).
