Description

Description: -- The U.S. Army Materiel Systems Activity (USAMSA) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD is conducting a market survey to identify state-of-the-art logistics data collection techniques and procedures that can improve the Army's Field Exercise Data Collection (FEDC) and Sample Data Collection (SDC) programs. FEDC and SDC currently use standard DA Forms (for example DA Form 2408, etc.) to collect logistics data. The intent of this Market Survey is to collect information to determine the feasibility of automated data collection techniques and procedures for FEDC/SDC and whether significant improvement in the quality and timeliness of data collection can be achieved. No corporate proprietary or otherwise sensitive information should be submitted. Survey responses shall include, at a minimum, the following: Name and address of organization, name and description of product including equipment and procedures, price and availability information, and web site address. Respondents shall submit market survey information to U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center (USARMAC), ATTN: Cheryl A. McLaughlin via e-mail at cherie.mclaughlin@sbccom.apgea.army.mil. All information shall be submitted NLT August 13, 2001. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey, nor return the data provided. Respondents may be contacted for further information. This market survey is a request for information only and is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
