Description

The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Barn 134 Improvements at the National Animal Disease Center, Ames, IA, This project consists of primarily HVAC improvements to an existing large animal containment barn, and includes ventilation duct and insulation replacement, supply and exhaust fan replacement, high efficiency air filter installation, HVAC controls, installation of 2 doors, and minor animal fencing work. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 to $250,000. The period of performance will be 105 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP estimated to be issued September 2001). A Bid Bond as well as Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposal No. 5114-1-0011 and will be available on or about July 30, 2001, with proposals to be received not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST), August 29, 2001. The solicitation is issued pursuant to full and open competition and is unrestricted. National American Industrial Classification Code of 23331, with a corresponding size standard of $27.5 M.
