Description

Work consists of completely preparing the site for building operations, including demolition, furnishing all labor and materials, equipment, testing, and certification, transportation, fiber optics, and supervision necessary to perform and complete all work required to "Upgrade Generator Controls". Work includes extension of the existing Onan generator controls network and associated wiring, cabling and raceway systems in certain buildings, road borings, trenching, site work and repair on the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Campus at Tuscaloosa Alabama. General construction activities associated with installation of generator control systems. This work also includes but is not limited to painting and patching walls and ceilings, providing wall coverings and general repair efforts associated with the installation and routing of the new generator controls network loops system. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)Code is 23332. The project magnitude is estimated between $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. Estimated solicitation issue date is July 31, 2001 with an estimated bid opening date of August 31, 2001. Requests must be in writing and should be mailed to the VA Medical Center, Network Logistics Office (10N7/NLO), 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904-6285 of faxed to (706) 731-7189. This requirement will be processed as an unrestricted acquisition. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
