Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with the commercial item procedures of FAR Part 12. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation number is RFQ 652-271-01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. The NAICS is 339111 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The procurement is unrestricted. The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA intends to solicit quotations and award a firm fixed price contract on a competitive basis to the offeror whose quotation meets the requirements of this solicitation. Quotations are due by close of business July 27, 2001, local time. All responses should be for specified manufacturer/brand name or equal. Quotations shall be submitted on an "all or none" basis. Partial quotations will be rejected. The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center has a requirement for the following equipment: 1) Beckman Coulter Avanti J-25I High Performance Centrifuge with Elutriation, 50/60Hz, 200/208/240V, stock# 363114; 2) JE-6B Elutriator Rotor, stock#347514; 3) Standard, 5ml Chamber for JE-6B, stock#347986; 4) One(1) year extended service warranty for Avanti J-25I. Quotations must include the following: 1) descriptive literature and product number for equipment offered; 2) cost of each item; 3) Delivery time, F.O.B point, shipping weight and delivery costs. The following provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and Addendum 52-217-9 for the Next Fiscal Year; 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal; 852.211-77, Brand Name or Equal; 852.270-4, Commercial Advertising; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items including clauses incorporated by reference under Section b (11-16)(18)(21)(24). The information required in provisions 52.212-1, 52.212-2, a completed copy of provisions 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and 852.219-70, Veteran Owned Small Business certification must be submitted with offer.
