Description

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC, seeks proposals for exhibition design services for the Museum's permanent exhibition. The Contractor shall provide all services including labor, materials, equipment, facilities and transportation except as otherwise specified as necessary in the statement of work. It is anticipated this requirement will be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity/Fixed Labor/Requirements/Task Order type contract. The successful Offeror shall (1) Develop concepts and designs of graphic treatments for text, photographs, maps, and other visual elements within established Permanent Exhibition Style Guidelines; (2) Prepare materials and fully developed design and treatment samples for presentation, review and approval; and (3) Prepare production-ready materials for exhibition fabricator(s) with clear production specifications, and shall be required to work with the fabricator(s) to resolve questions and production issues as necessary. Additionally, the Contractor shall create, produce and deliver layouts and art by mechanical as well as by electronic means. The work requires knowledge of, and minimum of three(3)years full-time past performance in, the techniques and methods of designing and producing two-dimensional exhibition materials for three-dimensional display, as well as proven experience in creating artwork mechanically and digitally. The work also requires professional expertise with the layout design software Quark Xpress 4.1. The solicitation is for a period of performance from the effective date of award through June 30, 2002, plus four (4) option years. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror after evaluation of technical criteria and price. It is estimated that evaluation and award will be made by September 30, 2001.
