Description

Fort Huachuca, Arizona intends to privatize its electrical distribution system. This action will result in the Government selling its electrical distribution resources to a private entity which will in-turn provide the Government with electrical distribution services for a period of up to 50 years. This effort will provide for the purchase, ownership, maintenance and operation of the electrical distribution system as a commercial electrical utility system. At this time it is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued O/A the middle of August. The solicitation will identify the time and place of any pre-proposal conference that will be held. This requirement will be unrestricted. Those interested in participating in this acquisition should send an e-mail to the POC at vince.suarez@hua.army.mil indicating such. This e-mail address should also be used for any questions that the interested parties may have. The providing of electricity is not a part of this acquisition. The applicable NAICS code is 221122.
