Description

Solicitation Notice -- This project consists of renovation and modification to Building 495 as follows: Addition of standing seam metal roof to specified portions of the building, replacement of existing membrane roofing and insulation at specified portions of the building, replacement of specified existing HVAC system and replacement/addition of specified existing electrical elements to meet current building codes, replacement of existing corridor doors and hardware to meet building codes, replacement of interior finishes, drilled pier foundations for building columns, 6" diameter iron drain pipe and concrete flume, some site landscaping. Additive items will include (1) tinting of exterior masonry; (2) automatic irrigation system for site landscaping. Estimated cost of this work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This IFB is 100% unrestricted. A non-refundable charge of $25.00 payable to Alabama Graphics will be required for each set of plans. Plans and specs will be made available for reviewing at the F W Dodge Plans Room, Birmingham, Alabama and the office of the Base Civil Engineer, Birmingham International Airport (ANG), Birmingham, Alabama. IFB Number DAHA01-01-B-0002 will be issued with an anticipated issue date of July 31, 2001, and a bid opening date on or about August 30, 2001.
