Description

The contractor shall perform Roof Replacement, Military Family Housing Units at Travis AFB, CA in accordance with the requirements of the contract. Work includes removal of BURS or Shingle Roof, installation of BURS, Shingle or SBS Modified Bituminous Roof, and deteriorated wood sheathing removal/replacement, lead testing, asbestos testing, and removal and disposal of lead based paint gutter, gravel stop, downspout and fascia board. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), Price Performance TradeOff (PPTO) solicitation. There will be no public bid opening. Award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. Period of performance is a basic year and four (4) option years. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000. and $5,000,000. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT HEREIN IS RESTRICTED TO ALL QUALIFIED 8(A) FIRMS IN SBA REGION IX (CALIFORNIA, HAWAII, ARIZONA AND NEVADA) AND THOSE 8(A) FIRMS WITH BONA-FIDE BRANCH OFFICES IN THOSE STATES. All responsible offerors must be CCR registered to be considered for award. The closing date and time for submission of offerors will be on or about 20 Aug 01, specific date will be stated in the solicitation package. The solicitation package will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS), on or about 18 Jul 01, which can be accessed at www.eps.gov/. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation or plan holder list. Telephone, written, Facsimile, or email request for the solicitation package and plan holder will not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the EPS site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package.
