Description

The Army Telecommunications Directorate (ATD) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Polk, Louisiana. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Louisiana, shall provide local commercial communications service for Fort Polk which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, Centrex service, local exchange access analog trunks, transport channels, and local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunks, foreign exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunk, transport channels, circuit extensions, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 51331 and 51333. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 20 Jul 01. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 03 Aug 01 at the Fort Polk DOIM, building #1830. The conference will be from 9:00-10:30 (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 12:00 noon. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the Contracting Officer listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 30 Jul 01. An e-mail response to the Contracting Officer listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 30 Aug 01. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 10 Aug 01. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
