Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Office of Managed Care (OMC) through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve (12) month sole source simplified acquisition to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The objectives of this simplified acquisition are to analyze HEDIS data and develop additional performance measures to further the goal of creating a common, objective set of measures of health care quality for mental health and substance abuse services. Closing date is July 30, 2001. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). =09
