Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for the proper pavement of the temporary quarters road and associated parking areas (approximately 21,000 square feet) located at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). All work methods and standards shall be in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 1989 edition. Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1) Inspect existing subgrade, report unacceptable conditions to TRACEN project representative. 2) Fine grade existing subgrade to provide positive drainage away from the housing units. Repair potholes and low areas in existing subgrade with surface course material or regraded material. 3) Install bituminous concrete surface course, 2" thick, I-5 mix as specified in the N.J.D.O.T. STD. SPEC., Section 903. It is strongly recommended that a site visit be made to check existing conditions, measurements, layout, etc. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 30 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235710, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages will be mailed on or about 31 July 2001.
