Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 20 Rack Power Distribution Panels, P/N 2510-0000. This acquisition will provide hardware for the Operational Television Video (OTV) Modernization at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Guardian Manufacturing, 571A Haverty Court, Rockledge, FL 32955, on a sole source basis. Only one responsible source appears able to provide the units needed for compatibility with the existing Power distribution Panels and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are requested to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the time stated below, with or without the required information, will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
