Description

The USAF Academy Operational Contracting office is issuing this sources sought/request for information to identify the availability of sources for Cross trainer athletic shoes which are produced domestically or in Qualifying Countries in accordance with DFARS 225.872-1. The USAF Academy seeks to acquire an estimated quantity of 1400 pairs of men?s and women?s cross trainers in assorted sizes for delivery in April 2002. Cross Trainers are generally defined as a multi-purpose athletic shoe that is used for a variety of activities. The shoes are specifically designed for maximum versatility. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the specific purpose of identifying potential contractors with the capability of providing quality cross trainers which are produced in compliance with the Buy American Act as required by FAR Part 25 and DFARS Part 225. As indicated above the shoes may be manufactured in the following ?Qualifying Countries?: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom. This Notice is not a request for quote, and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any footwear or otherwise pay for the information furnished. Responses are desired ONLY from those manufacturers who can supply cross trainers manufactured in compliance with the Buy American Act.
