Description

REQUEST FOR INTEREST. This is a Request for Interest (RFI) with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). Information is requested relative to a supplier's ability to provide engineering design, fabrication, testing and drop shipping from Idaho Falls, ID to Butte, Montana. A mechanical piece of equipment will be necessary to handle 55-gallon drums weighing at most 600 pounds. The drum handler will need to rotate the drum from full vertical position (90 degrees) to 220 degrees, translate horizontally over a four to six foot span, and travel in the vertical direction four to six feet. The drum handler must provide semi-automated and remote controls. The drum handler will be used inside a glovebox. Responses are requested no later than Tuesday, July 24, COB. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to BBWI or the Department of Energy.
