Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Operon Technologies, Alameda, CA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for Custom Human Genome 70mer Oligos with the following criteria: 1) Over 13,500 different oligos representing no redundant genes, 2) Sequence optimized to minimize human cross hybridization, 3) Melting temperature normalized to 78C, 4) Sequence must reside within 750 bases of the 3' end of each gene, 5) 5' amino-linked, 6) Positive and negative controls included, 7) 600 pmoles of oligo per well, & 8) Oligos to be lyophilized in 384 well plates. Oligos needed for on-going research project. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of closing date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Operon Technologies. The NAICS Code/Size is 325414/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
