Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. REQ01C-25 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis documentation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following equipment: MV/25000 Mod 2 CPU (28.2 mips) and Chassis to include Qty (4) 32MB add-on Memory Module, I/O Expansion (chassis & bus repeater), CLARiiON Controller w/cable to MV/30000, HPS SC3 Dual Bus Disk Controller, Qty (3) 600MB/7200 RPM SCSI Disk Drives, Inferno SE tape Controller, 1600/6259 BPI magnetic tape drive, CSS3 Rack Mount Chassis, 7/14 GB 8 MM SE cartridge tape, ILC Ethernet controller, Qty (1) IAC -- 8, Qty (2) IAC -- 24, Qty (2) IAC -- 24 TCB, Qty (1) ITC, Equipment Racks, MV/25000 Hardware Installation at LOC site, Design & document fallover procedures for copyright application. All items shall be delivered within thirty days after Receipt of Order (ARO). FOB: Destination, Library of Congress, Receiving Unit, 101 Independence Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20540. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offeror -- Commercial Item and 52-212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Item and 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Item (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.233-1 Disputes, 52.232-25 Prompt Payments. These clauses shall be available upon written request) Offeors shall include a complete copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Item with its offer. The clauses 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition (under this clauses the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.223-3 Convict Labor and 52.215-2 Audit and Records-Negotiation. These clauses shall be available upon written request.) The following clauses 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies and 52.211-5 New Material.
