Description

Request for Information..... The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is considering awarding multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts in support of the Technology Development Directorate. Detailed and updated information can be found at http://tdic.dtra.mil. The program supports the directorate's major areas of counterproliferation, weapons effectiveness support, electromagnetic and ionizing radiation hazards, test, and treaty verification. We estimate award to multiple performers using unrestricted full and open competition. The period of performance will be 60 months with the potential to extend for 60 additional months. We anticipate various pricing arrangements. DTRA anticipates award in Spring 2002 with an estimated RFP release date of Fall 2001. Potential offerors must demonstrate capability and experience in the areas indicated by the Statement of Objectives. We are soliciting input from industry to help refine our acquisition strategy. We are particularly interested in industries' view toward Small Business participation, contract ordering procedures, evaluation criteria, Statement of Objectives, and scope of contract. We welcome comments and concerns regarding this proposed acquisition. All recommendations, comments, and questions must be submitted through email or the web site. Questions and answers will be posted on the web site. We will conduct an Industry Day in August 2001 to discuss our requirements and address industry concerns and questions. When finalized, we will post the exact date, time, and place on the website. This announcement is issued for information and planning purposes only. The government will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP).
