Description

The Naval Research Laboratory intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Fore Systems Inc. dba Marconi Communications, 1000 Fore Drive, Warrendale, PA 15086 based on the manufacturers design and proprietary intellectual property. The optical components (fast tunable optical laser, receiver and optical amplifier) are research prototypes at this time and will be integrated into an existing government research information network infrastructure developed by Fore Systems/Marconi Communications. See Note 22.
