Description

NASA/HQ plans to award a 2-year membership to the Fully Integrated and Automated Technology FIATECH at the University of Texas. The authority is only one responsible source 10 U.S.C.2304) (1). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The FIATECH is an industry-led, collaborative, not-for-profit research consortium serving the construction industry, from asset creation through operations and maintenance. It consist of approximately 40 owner/ members. There is no other organization in the construction industry that can provide such a unique blend or research, networking potential, and implementation tools. The FIATECH is recognized worldwide as the premier organization of key owner and construction leaders who work together to advance the capital projects delivery process. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis and will be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
