Description

The work includes repairs and renovations of the exterior and interior of the first floor, second floor, and third floor of building BEH 1807 at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA. The exterior and interior will be completely demolished, except for the structural slabs, metal framing, stairways, ductwork and selective electrical items. The work will also involve the removal and disposal of material coated with lead containing paint and material that tested positive for asbestos. New site improvements will include installation of dedicated water line for fire protection and natural gas line. New construction includes, mechanical room, interior and exterior finishes, acoustical gypsum board wall and ceiling system, metal and wood doors including metal frames, metal windows, 600 gallon gas water heater, piping, plumbing fixtures, PTAC units and automatic fire sprinkler system shall be provided. The installation of new select electrical items, telephone system, data system, cable television system, fire alarm system and incidental related work. The approximate solicitation release date is September 6, 2001. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. The estimated cost range is between: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code is 233320 and the size standard is $27.5 million dollars. This solicitation is NOT set aside for small business. This is a firm fixed price contract for a period of 540 days. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
