- Description
- EPA intends to purchase an autosampler that meets the following requirements: Software control:Win95 or higher based software control of the autosampler and remote control software to allow for the preparation and execution of sample sequences; Ability to interface to Finnigan's XCaliber Software and Agilent Technology's HP MS Chemstation; Software must include macro editing capabilities to allow complete operator control of each step of the sample handling and injection; Ability to read barcode labels -- Liquid samples: The ability to control each step of the injection such as fill speed, pre- and post injection delays, pre- and post cleaning steps, control of injection depths, standard additions, injection speed; Large volume injection (LVI) of up to 250ml; Low volume injection down to nanoliter amounts (down to 0.1 ml); Solvent/Reagent reservoir; Wash station for 2 or more solvents with option for LVI wash; Sample vial flexibility to include: 1 ml vials, 2 ml vials, 10 ml vials, 20 ml vials, microplates as well as custom sample vial sizes; Cooled Trayholder for 1 ml, 2 ml, 10 ml, and 20 ml vials -- Headspace samples: Heated and purged gas-tight syringe capabilities with an injection range from 0.1 ml to 5.0 ml (multiple syringes will) be required to cover this range); Sample vial flexibility to include: 1 ml vials, 2 ml vials, 10 ml vials, 20 ml vials, microplates as well as custom sample vial sizes; No sample loop, all sample handling occurs in the gas-tight syringe; Heated incubator for sample preparation (up to 150C); Ability to agitate or mix samples -- Solid phase microextraction (SPME) samples: Ability to use SPME extraction and direct injection to a GC inlet; Variable vial penetration for headspace or liquid SPME; Ability to agitate or mix samples; Heated incubator for sample preparation (up to 150C); Fiber prep and cleaning station to precondition and clean SPME fibers with gas purging; User controlled extraction times for SPME -- Mounting: Must mount directly to a Finnigan GCQ GC; Must have the flexibility to adjust mounting to clear pre-existing peripherals attached to the GC and inject in either of two injection ports.
