Description

USACE, Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires the accelerated testing and analysis of six (6) 1/4-scale model lock gate pintle/bushing assembly prototypes in brackish water to simulate the mechanical and environmental stresses of a typical Panama Canal Authority (PCA) lock miter gate pintle over its anticipated 200,000 cycle service life, incorporating six (6) specific lubrication conditions, including testing of self-lubricating bushing materials. Period of service will be no later than 28 August 2002. This proposed procurement is 100% set aside for small business, and will result in a firm fixed-price purchase order. Request for DACA42-01-T-0148 will be issued on or about 8 August 2001 with a closing date of 24 August 2001.
