Description

This is to notify interested parties that the Department of Justice has available for dissemination a "Request for Industry Comment" regarding a requirement for on-site interpreter services at immigration hearings throughout the United States and its Territories. This requirement is currently being performed for the DOJ Executive Office for Immigration Review under a contract that expires in calendar year 2002. As a preliminary step to issuing a solicitation for a new contract, DOJ seeks comments from interested parties to various questions posed in the Comment document. Any parties who desire to receive the Request for Industry Comment and supporting documents should send an email request to douglas.g.redding@usdoj.gov. Comments, in an original and three copies, are due on August 20, 2001 and should be sent to the DOJ point of contact and address listed in the Comment document. The industry comments will be evaluated by DOJ and taken into consideration when preparing a solicitation for this requirement. No solicitation is available at this time.
