Description

PROJECT TITLE AND LOCATION: Jet Grout Sections, Contract 1/JET Grout Test, American River Watershed Project (Common Features), California. THIS PROPOSED CONTRACT IS UNRESTRICTED. JOB DESCRIPTION: Work consists of construction of segments of impervious cutoff wall using grouting method at several sites along the levees/banks of the American River and conducting a jet grout test section program for record testing. Jet grouting construction will include mostly two rows of jet grout elements for a total treatment area of approximately 8,000 to 10,000 square meters at a depth of approximately 24 meters using triple fluid methods. Jet grout testing will require both columns and panels at a depth ranging from 6 to 20 meters using triple fluid methods. NAICS CODE: This procurement will be conducted under NAICS code 234990. The size standard for this NAICS code is $27,500,000.00. Large business competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 61.4% for small business, 9.1% for small disadvantaged business, and 5.0% for small business/women owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support foals submitted. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The acquisition method is Request for Proposal (RFP). A technical and cost proposal will be required. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best advantage to the Government.
