- Description
- The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) proposes to upgrade exterior doors to Building J on the NETC campus. The prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend a walkthrough of the building requiring the upgrade that will be held on July 31, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. The successful bidder shall complete a site survey to determine door swing, throw and plate requirements, etc. One (1) copy of building floor plans and a detailed list will be provided to each prospective bidder at the time of site visit and walkthrough. Quotations shall be accompanied by specifications data sheets on all locks, controllers, programmers and exit devices. The ?BEST? 7-pin cores, from existing doors, shall be removed from and installed in the locks as they are installed. Core keys will be furnished on a daily basis. The keys shall be signed for from the Security Office and returned each night. All areas of work shall be policed and cleaned up and equipment shall secured each night. The Contractor shall comply with all FEMA and NETC Instructions and policies. The existing doors of Building J shall be replaced, utilizing the existing frames, and specified hardware installed per the specifications and drawings provided with the RFQ. Appropriate exit/panic hardware and locks will be installed on these doors. Existing Intrusion Detection System devices (magnet and contacts) shall be removed and re-installed in working order. All doors shall be reinforced to accept surfaced mounted magnetic locking devices at a later date. Copies of the RFQ are available electronically at the EPS website. Paper copies may be requested in writing from the contract specialist. This is a small business set-aside.=20
