Description

The work consists of replacement of twin 8' 10" span, 6' 1" rise, 40' long pipe arches with one 19' 10" span, 7' 8" rise and a 42' long aluminum box culvert wiht riprap placed to protect the fill from scouring. Road work includes placement of a rock base overlaid with a 4" lift of asphalt. A temporary bypass shall be constructed prior to removing the existing pipe arches to maintain access to the lands and improvements beyond the crossing. The temporary road shall be decommissioned and the terrain restored following the installation of the box culvert. The project area is located in Section 23 of T. 14 S., R. 8 W. in Benton County, approximately 4 miles south of the town of Alsea, Oregon. Project price range is under $100,000. Estimated start work date is July 1, 2002 and performance time will be 30 calendar days.
