Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO)/Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Installing a 13.8KV/4160V Power Distribution System at the DI Pump Station/Electrical Substation. The work to be performed involves the fabrication and installation of the 13.8KV/4160V power distribution system for five (5) future high pressure water pumps. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 419 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235310 and $11.5 million, respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C2. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about August 7, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 11, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of the solicitation RFO2-38056(CXD) should be in writing and directed to Mr. Mike Wilkerson. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Facsimile requests will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE OF $75.00 FOR EACH SET OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO BECHTEL NATIONAL INCORPORATED AND MAIL TO NASA-AMES RESEARCH CENTER, ATTENTION: MR. MIKE WILKERSON, M/S 213-11, MOFFETT FIELD, CA 94035-1000. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
