Description
This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information from the private sector that may be used to develop a solicitation for a Property Receiving System for the U. S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD. Parties are requested to submit information about commercially available Property Receiving Systems that meet the following requirements: GENERAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: (1) Uses TCP/IP Protocol to allow for LANWAN; (2) Is a web-based application; and (3) Uses an Oracle database. SPECIFIC PROPERTY RECEIVING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: (1) Web interface, ability to accept and receive deliveries online, estimated 3,000 customers, minimum of 25 simultaneous users, ID/password security with graphical interface; (2) Provides multiple levels of user security and track transactions by ID; (3) Capability to track receipt and acceptance by line item of all packages delivered to a central receiving area, including receipts originating from procurement requests as well as non-procurement deliveries; (4) Capability to accept a file from an automated procurement system and to produce a file for a property management system; (5) Capability to track partial and rejected shipments and display information from previous receipts for a specified order; (6) Capability to print Receipt and Inspection forms, draft purchase orders, and hand carry receipts with the option for the user to determine the number of copies to print; (7) Capability to produce canned and ad hoc reports; (8) Query capability; and (9) Capability to accept barcode tag number, serial number, model number information for all items from real-time RF, batch or key entry (e.g., accept real-time data from integrated, portable/wireless handheld bar code readers (wireless).)
