- AMBROUGH SLOUGH HABITAT REHABILITATION AND ENHANCEMENT PROJECT -- STAGE 2 (DREDGING) Basic work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, equipment, labor, materials and supplies necessary to perform dredging in three small backwater lakes in Pool 10 of the Upper Mississippi River near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The work consists of dredging approximately 180,000 cubic meters of sediments from the lakes. In addition, a small amount of rock placement will be required to construct a small structure. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industrial Classifications Systems Code (NAICS) is 234990 with a small business size standard of $27.5 Million. In accordance with the size standard requirements, bidders are advised that to be considered a small business concern, a firm must perform at least 40% of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1 Million and $5 Million. We anticipate that solicitation DACW37-37-01-B-0012 will be posted to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers website (http://www.mvp.usace.army.mil) on or about August 7, 2001 with bid opening scheduled on or about September 6, 2001. These dates may change. The official solicitation will be available only by CD-ROM which can be ordered by registering for this particular solicitation at the website listed above. Any amendments to the solicitation will only be available on the website listed above. E-Mail notifications of amendments will be sent to all registered firms when the amendments are released. A paper hard copy of each amendment will not be mailed unless specifically requested in writing from the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Anyone who is registered for this solicitation should check the website periodically for amendments and date changes.
