Description

The work consists of removal, disassembly, assembly rehabilitating through various means, installation and testing of the intake gates. Rehab may include seal and gasket replacement, replacement of the corrosion protection system, sandblasting, painting and conducting miscellaneous repairs as shown on drawings. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $250,0000 and $500,000. The duration of the contract will be 270 calendar days. Plans and Specifications will be available on the St. Louis District web page, see below, and CD ROM only at no charge. Hard copies will not be available. Issue date is on or about 3 August 2001. Bid opening date is on or about 9 September 2001. Small and disadvantaged business firms are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or as members of joint ventures with other small businesses. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum extent practicable with small and disadvantaged businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by this agency.
