Description

This is a design/build project. The work includes the design and construction of a pre-engineered metal building for use as a Facility Maintenance Shop at the BLM Alaska Fire Service, FT. Wainwright, Alaska. The building shall be delivered and erected complete. Utility services within the facility are required. The building shall contain 7500 SF of shop space, 720 SF of offices, and 2500 SF of covered, open storage. This Solicitaion has the potential for award of an Option, which includes the previous items, but adds 1250 SF more shop space. Proposals will be evaluated using a one-phase source selection procedure that will result in a firm-fixed price design/build contract to the responsible proposer whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is the "best value" to the Government, technical factors and price considered. The Technical Proposal will require the preparation of a limited design solution for the project. PROPOSERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO EVALUATE PROPOSALS AND AWARD WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS OR ANY CONTACT CONCERNING THE PROPOSALS RECEIVED.
