SHERMAN INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL (SIHS) ROOF REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT PROJECT: (1)Student Center Building 14 -- Tiled pitched roofs, two levels; carefully remove clay mission tile and store for re-installation; remove underlayment down to deck; install wood nailers over two layers of 50 lb. saturated felt; re-install tiles, supplemented, as required, by additional tiles, government owned and stored in school inventory, or new or used, as acquired and furnished by contractor; Flat roofs -- remove ASBESTOS-FREE BUR roofing to plywood deck; install rigid tapered insulation to maintain in-roof drainage pattern, and membrane roofing system, complete with new metal counterflashing; (2) Office Building No. 71 -- Removal and fill any blisters; trim away BUR roofing along perimeter at parapets; install single membrane system over flat and tapered insulboard and slip sheet.
