Description

This synopsis modifies General's Suite, Building 1600, posted on July 6, 2001. Work consists of furnishing all parts, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services and supervision necessary for removal of existing ceilings, branch ducts and diffusers, and the reinstallation of a new system including VAV boxes in Bldg 1600, Scott AFB, IL. The principal items of work shall include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Removal of ceiling and diffusers. 2. Removal of two existing hot water reheat coils. 3. Removal of indicated branch ducts. 4. Installation of new hot water piping from mechanical rooms to coils. 5. Installation of new bypass type VAV boxes w/reheat coils. 6. Installation of new ductwork. 7. Installation of new thermostats and control wiring/tubing. 8. Installation of wiring and controls to tie into existing system. 9. Balancing and startup of new system. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP), Price Performance Trade-Off (PPTO) solicitation. There will be no public bid opening. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. The Magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The proposed contract herein is unrestricted. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation package will be posted on Electronic Posting System (EPS) which can be accessed at www.eps.gov./. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 375th Contracting Squadron, Scott AFB, IL. Potential offerors MUST register at www.eps.gov./ in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation.
