- Description
- The Carl T. Hayden VAMC Phoenix, AZ, (FMS/90C) 650 E. Indian School Road, is seeking a contractor to furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, supervision and to perform work for the Renovation of Building 21 for Research, Phase I, as required by the drawings and specifications. This project involves renovation of a section of an existing administration building to convert several rooms to research laboratories with supporting office space and mechanical equipment rooms. Work includes demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, laboratory casework and equipment, utility systems, other items, and site preparation for a modular Laboratory Animal Facility to be installed by others. It is recommended that contractors bidding this work familiarize themselves with the work involved. This solicitation will result in a construction contract in which performance and payment bonding will be required. This is an Invitation for Bids (IFB). Cost range for subject project is estimated between $500,000 to $1,000,000. NAICS code for this project is 23332. The size standard for this code is $17,000,000. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Responsible contractors interested in this project are encouraged to request IFB packages. Packages will be available on or about August 13, 2001.
