Description

The Library of Congress' National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH) has a requirement for the production of various recorded cassette books in Spanish. Production and delivery of audio materials in accordance with NLS/BPH specifications includes the narration, recording, duplicating on cassette, labeling, packaging, and distribution on audio cassette for 15/16 ips playback in four-track monaural mode. Original recording may be created using digital audio equipment. Distribution is to regional libraries and multistate centers for loan to individual patrons. Bidders are required to submit samples of the product requested which precisely meet all applicable specifications in all respects. A waiver may be granted upon request from current producers for the submission of samples. A copy of the solicitation will be available on or about August 27, 2001, from the Library of Congress web site, www.loc.gov/contracts. Firm-fixed unit price multiple awards may be made in approx. October 2001 for FY 2002 requirements.
