Description

Engineering, Technical and Program Management Services in support of Multiple Ship Systems and Survivability Programs. Services will support U.S. Navy ships including but not limited to DDG 51 Flight IIA, DD 21, Virginia Class Submarines, NSSN, CVN-X, TAKE, Cruiser Upgrade, and other program initiatives. Services include engineering support,program support,technical support, documentation support, and data analysis. Typical tasks include but are not limited to performing survivability assessments of new ship designs using the Ship Survivability Design Improvement (SSDI) tool; performing analysis to identify beneficial operational and survivability design options for Naval power system designs, upgrades and modifications; providing experienced Live Fire Test & Evaluation (LFT&E) personnel to support the DD 21 LFT&E program; investigating effectiveness of existing tools (models and simulations) at evaluating ship design, operation, maintenance and training and make recommendations as to the fitness of each tool to participate in assigned tasking; and providing technical reviews of and comments on design documentation and technical specifications with respect to Survivability. Approximately 146,350 hours of services are required over a five-year period. See Note 1. Solicitation closes approximately 20 September 2001.
