Description

Modification of combined synopsis/solicitation: CLARIFICATIONS: Request for clarification to specifications was received. The following questions and responses are provided for all competing parties: 1. What are the dimensions of the vessel(s) that presently contain the resin? A: (2) five foot dia. By seven foot high. 2. Which radio nuclides are present? A: RA226 and 228 3. What is the total amount of radioactivity over the entire waste stream? A: 2 PCI/liters per month. 4. What are the radiation exposure rates on the outside of the resin vessel? A: Unknown. 5. How often does the resin require change-up? A: Approxiamately every five years. 6. Will alternative removal methods and equipment be considered if proposed? A: If the methods meet all applicabale codes and regulations. No other changes.
