Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment and supervision to renovate the third floor west, building 1, for Project 646-01-110H, "Modernize Patient Psychiatric Unit, Building #1, 3rd floor West (1-3W)", at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Work includes but is not limited to construction of new nurses station, new seclusion rooms, new nurse call system, smoking room, lighting, ceilings, upgraded finishes, asbestos abatement, recofiguration of toilet and shower rooms in accordance with contract specifications and drawings. The estimated constuction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS is 23332 with the small business size standard of $27.5M. Solicitation issue o/a August 13, 2001. Prebid conference is anticipated to be scheduled September 4, 2001. A scheudled site visit will be held immediately after the Conference. All bidders are strongly encourged to attend. Anticipated bid opening is September 18, 2001. Solicitation will define scheduled pre-bid conference and bid opening date. Solicitation is opened to both large and small businesses, all responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Request for solicitation package must be in writing referening IFB 646-11-01, indicating status as prime or subcontractor, submitted to Cassandra E.
