Description

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. All requests for copies of the solicitation must be in writing and mailed to the Contracting Officer at the above address. Faxed requests will not be honored. The SIC/NAICS code for this solicitation is 1542/23332. The estimated price range is between $250,000 -- $500,000. Completion time is estimated at one hundred eighty calendar (180) days after Notice to Proceed is signed. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds will be required. Issue date is estimated to be on or about 8/13/01. A pre-bid conference, including a site visit, shall be held on 8/28/01 at 1pm in Room 2C-125. This is the only site visit to be held. Please call the Contracting Officer at 561-882-6508 to register for pre-bid conference and site visit. The estimated bid closing date is on or about 9/13/01. This project will be awarded as a firm fixed price construction contract. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for the demolition and renovation for a digital cardiac catheterization and electro-physiology laboratory at the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida. Work shall include but not be limited to, demolition of interior walls, flooring and ceilings, mastic, transit panels and minor pipe insulation, ductwork, lighting and receptacles. Work shall include but not be limited to the construction of interior walls, ceilings, HVAC, electrical and miscellaneous work, all in accordance with the specifications and drawings.
