Description

PURSUANT TO P.L. 100-656, SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM, THIS SOLICITATION IS CLASSIFIED "UNRESTRICTED". The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and transportation to perform re-roofing and repair work to barracks roofs and incidental related work. The 900 man barracks at buildings 599 and 601 are to have all existing roof systems demolished, and new insulated built-up roofing systems installed. All roofs identified as asbestos containing are to have abatement procedures applied in accordance with Specifications Section 13281. All work associated with the demolition of the built-up roofing system and roofing accessories and flashings on Building 599 and all work associated with the installation of a new 4-ply, ballasted, built-up roofing system with all associated accessories, gutters, downspouts, flashings, etc. All work associated with the demolition of the built-up roofing system and roofing accessories and flashings on Building 601 and all work associated with the installation of a new 4-ply, ballasted, built up roofing system with all associated accessories, gutters, downspouts, flashings, etc. The work shall be located at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 23561, ROOFING AND SHEETMETAL. The Size Standard is $11,500,000.00. The Government intends to issue the entire solicitation including plans and specifications on or about 13 August 2001. A pre-bid site visit is intended. The site visit will be provided in the solicitation. Viewing and downloading will be available at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Prospective Offerors must register themselves on the website. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFEROR'S MUST REGISTER IN THE CCR DATA BASE AT www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil. LACK OF REGISTRATION IN THE CCR DATA BASE WILL MAKE AN OFFEROR INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. The official plan holder's list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION.
