Description

This is a Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. Solicitation No. USSS010024 will be issued as a request for proposals, through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The United States Secret Service has a requirement for 300 Winchester Magnum Lead Free Match Grade cartridges. The base quantity required is 60,000 rounds with a quantity option for 60,000 rounds, to be ordered in increments of no less than 30,000. For the base quantity, 30,000 rounds shall be delivered 60 days after the date of award, and the remaining 30,000 rounds shall be delivered 120 days after the date of award. The quantity option may be exercised from the date of award through September 30, 2002, with delivery required 120 days following the exercise of the option. This is an unrestricted procurement. The NAICS Code is 332993 and the small business size standard is 1,500 employees. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed price type contract, to the responsible offeror with acceptable past performance, whose proposal, conforming to the Solicitation, is lowest in price.
