Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, Aircraft Operations Center at MacDill AFB, Florida intends to issue a purchase order to B.F.Goodrich Avionics Systems, Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI for 3 each model number SKY497, Skywatch Traffic Advisory System to interface with RGC250 & WX radar. These items to include RGC-250 radar graphics computer and miscellaneous installation kit items. The intended procurement for the Skywatch Traffic Advisory System for which the Government intends to acquire from one source, B.F.Goodrich Avionics System, Inc., will be made under the authority of FAR 6.302. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit proposals based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to B.F.Goodrich Avionics Systems, Inc., whichever is determined to be most advantageous to the Government, without further notice. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing the following: Company name; address; point of contact; telephone number; business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified model numbers and the names; telephone numbers; and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar items. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information should be faxed to 816-426-7530, Attn: Ron Anielak. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 334511. This is not a small-business set-aside. The Skywatch Traffic Advisory System will be purchased under the guidelines of FAR, Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures.
